Team Leader or Supervisor EPA (V1.3)
A Team leader or supervisor is a first line management role, with operational and project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.

Team Leader or Supervisor Level 3 end point assessment (EPA) has two components:
- Project Presentation with questions
- Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
In the presentation with questions, the apprentice delivers a presentation to an independent assessor on a set subject. The independent assessor must ask questions after the presentation. It gives the apprentice the opportunity to demonstrate the KSBs mapped to this assessment method. The presentation and questions must last 50 minutes plus 10% (at the discretion of the independent assessor) if required. The presentation will typically last for 20 minutes and the questioning will typically last for 30 minutes to provide scope for the apprentice to demonstrate their full competence.
In the professional discussion, an independent assessor and apprentice have a formal two-way conversation. It gives the apprentice the opportunity to demonstrate the KSBs mapped to this assessment method. The professional discussion must last for 60 minutes.
