Lead Adult Care Worker EPA (V1.2)

Level 3

Lead Adult Care Worker apprentices lead the frontline care for vulnerable adults within their own homes, care centres, residential and nursing homes and other healthcare settings.

What is the EPA for Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3

Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3 end point assessment (EPA) has assessment methods:

  1. Situational Judgement Test
  2. Professional Discussion

The Situational Judgement Test is a multiple choice test that apprentices will take online. It contains 60 questions, and has a time limit of 1.5 hours.

Advance EPA provides the invigilator for the Situational Judgement Test. The invigilator is there to put the apprentice at ease, welcome them to the test, and check their ID. The apprentice will have the opportunity to ask any questions before their 1.5 hour time will begin.

The Professional Discussion will last 45 minutes. This is also taken online, and is a one-to-one discussion between the apprentice and an independent assessor from Advance EPA. The assessor is trained to guide the discussion and give the apprentice opportunity to show their competency.
